This week for SEL, students are working on their perseverance skills. We talked about how sometimes things can be hard for us, but we can have perseverance and find different ways to overcome challenges. A new challenge that Kindergarten students encountered this week was remote learning due to the weather. This was the first time that many of these students have been on Google Meet and they were fantastic! The Kindergarten students truly showed their perseverance in navigating signing on to live Google Meets, and completing independent Seesaw learning activities.
Students loved being able to share their work on the computer and interact with their peers through the computer. Stories were read, discussions were had, and even a fun scavenger hunt around their homes for things that started with certain letters of the alphabet.
Overall, the Kindergarten students have truly proven their perseverance and that they can overcome the hard things they encounter!
