Oh the weather outside is frightful…..and we’re stuck inside for recess…..
Having inside recess due to bad weather can be a ray of sunshine or a
nightmare! I prefer outside--no matter what!
Students need to be outside to get fresh air, get the wiggles out,
and socialize with students other than the ones in their class. But
sometimes the weather has other plans that keeps us inside.
The third grade teachers reached out to our parents to see if they had
card games and board games (without a million pieces) that the children
could bring to school to play with when the weather is unpredictable.
They did not disappoint.
We had board games ……
We had students making their own games out of cardboard….
We had card games….
Hmmm, maybe inside recess isn’t so bad after all!
