As part of the kindergarten standards, students work to be able to read 80 different sight words by the end of the year. The kindergarteners have been working gradually at their own pace to learn and practice these words. A fun way that we have been doing this is through sight word stations. Students rotate through various tactile learning activities to build, write, type, and form the words for exposure. Each week they get to share their knowledge and try and read the words on their list and potentially move onto a new list for more words. They have been making great progress with doing this.
