Students just finished their first week back after Thanksgiving break and winter break is around the corner! The next two weeks are a busy time as students are getting ready to be home for two weeks and celebrate various winter holidays. This is also a time where as teachers we notice that students sometimes need a little extra reminder and motivation to stay focused. What better way to motivate students than with a game of BINGO!
Students helped to create this BINGO board filled with various schoolwide expectations. Whenever myself or another teacher notices they are doing one of these things, we get to color in a square. They are trying to get 5 in a row for a small surprise and blackout for a big surprise before winter break begins.
Having the students help create some of the ideas in the squares helps get them even more excited and motivated to be doing all these things listed on the board. When students start to get a little extra silly, giving a quick reminder about the BINGO board is all they need to get back on track and ready to learn!
