Setting Up for Success!

The first week of school is crucial for setting the tone for the rest of the year. This is exactly why we spend the first week getting to know each other, building connections, practicing routines, and reviewing expectations. Devoting time to building relationships at the start of the year can make all the difference in the months ahead. We will continue strengthening these connections in our classroom to create a positive, safe environment that makes learning and growing together much more enjoyable.

Below are a few examples of activities from the week. Students learned about classmates and found similarities through a Find Someone Who, did a Rock Paper Scissors tournament (which included LOTS of laughs), and designed a sticker that will be used to celebrate students following school-wide expectations. I am really looking forward to a great school year!!
