Ms. Walker’s Preschool Class
We are in the last week of our pet unit. We have learned so much already!
During our pet unit we learned what kinds of animals can be pets, where pets
live, how we care for pets, and how pets make us feel.
Students have sent in pictures of their pets and taught our class how they take
care of them. We looked at different kinds of pet food. Our class learned that
the bigger the animal the bigger their food usually is.
We have an ‘animal hospital’ in our classroom where students have
been practicing being veterinarians and helping our toy pets.
We have been learning about veterinarians and how they are doctors
for pets so the animals hospital has been a great way for students to
practice what we are learning.
We have made lots of artwork during our pet unit. One of our
favorites was the colorful fish we painted. We used paint brushes
and sponges to add texture to our fish as well as some sequins to
make their scales.
