Friendships in Pre-K

Pre-K students are making new friends

The social emotional development of our youngest students is critical.
We spend a lot of time at the beginning of the year fostering friendships by learning
how to play together, how to share and how to take turns.
As you can see by the joy on these girls faces,  it is good to have friends at school.

Not only do you need a friend to play with, but you just might need
help someday, and it is good to have a friend who can help you.

Why is prosocial behavior important? Research shows that early prosocial behaviors predict later academic achievement.
