Solar Eclipse

Our classroom was overflowing with excitement as we participated in a variety of engaging and educational activities that truly brought the eclipse to life for our fourth graders.

We kicked off our eclipse journey by tuning into the live stream provided by NASA. This allowed our students to witness the eclipse from various locations across the globe, offering them a unique perspective. Watching the eclipse unfold in real-time sparked curiosity and wonder among our students as they observed the dance of the sun, moon, and Earth.

To further immerse our students in the eclipse experience, we provided them with eclipse-themed coloring pages and word searches. These activities not only served as a fun way to engage with the topic but also reinforced key vocabulary related to eclipses.

Students were provided with an explore board where they could learn more about the solar eclipse. This interactive display featured fascinating facts, diagrams, and images related to eclipses. Students were encouraged to explore the board at their own pace, sparking conversations and prompting questions about the science behind eclipses.

Finally, some students decided to use their creativity and set out to capture their own interpretations of the eclipse.

Together, we created a memorable and enriching eclipse experience that will leave a lasting impression on our students' minds.
