James and the Giant Pumpkin...

  We finished up reading James and the Giant Peach as a read aloud but for some reason, I accidently 

said PUMPKIN instead of PEACH and the third graders will not let me forget it!  We were 

fortunate to be able to go see a live production of James and the Giant PEACH --an Alphabet Soup

Production and it did not disappoint!

Our third grade students brought their best manners and were an amazing audience.  They

were told to be on the look out for ways we can compare and contrast the book and the play.

We were also lucky enough to have the cast run through the auditorium while we were waiting

for our bus to take us back to our school.

And then we had to go back to school and do some learning...we compared and contrasted the 

similarities and differences between the book James and the Giant PEACH and the live 

performance.

Now we just have to watch the movie and compare all 3!
