In a time when technology has become such a huge part of our lives, it's no surprise that its impact has extended to our youngest learners. At Goodrich, the first-grade classrooms have embraced this digital era with open arms, using the power of Chromebooks to enhance the educational journey of some of our youngest scholars.
Today, our enthusiastic first-grade students are navigating the digital world with ease, equipped with their own Chromebooks. These devices have become their windows to a world of endless possibilities.
Beyond just consuming content, our young learners are creators. This first week back from winter break has been filled with creative opportunities. We love using our Chromes to practice necessary skills such as using our stylus, editing a Google slide, working on a project in Seesaw and navigating an assignment in Kami. Can you believe our First graders are doing all of this!? They sure are, and they are doing it with innovation and creativity!
Check out some of our work below. We are happy to be back together this week, building our relationships with each other, catching up with each other, and diving right back into learning with the help of our Chromes.
The following 3 pictures show First grade students researching on World Book Online for our upcoming writing project!
I love helping to prepare our students for a future where digital literacy is not only an option but a necessity.
The Future is Digital, and Our First Graders Are Ready!
