What happens when your SEL character trait of the week is Kindness? A whole lotta good!
Kindness means you enjoy doing good deeds for other people and we spent the week making
that happen.
First, we spent 2 days making a kindness calendar. We had a little help from our families.
Then as we completed a kind deed, we shaded in our calendar. I would have preferred
to do this on paper but we live in a tech world so we did it in Google Doc…*sigh
Next, we picked names from our other 3rd grade class and we wrote them a compliment
on a Christmas light pattern and very sneakily, we taped it to their lockers! That is the the
quietest I have heard 27 students in the hallway!
We also showed each other how to make crafts when it was indoor recess–sorry custodial
staff.
Remember….a little kindness goes a long way!
