Falling For Fall

 

Jumping, raking, crunching, and changing–what do these words

have in common?  They all describe leaves!

We tried our hand at writing cinquain poems about Fall-leaves

changing, raking, and jumping in leaves and the weather getting

colder.

A cinquain  is a type of poem that is five lines:

The topic

2 adjectives to describe the topic

3 verbs about the topic

A 4-word phrase

A synonym for the topic

Our third graders understood the assignment with these pretty amazing poems.

The colors may have already changed outside, 

 but our poems about fall will be here for a while longer.
