On Friday, we had so much fun on our Social Emotional Learning Day. We participated in many activities revolving around identifying emotions, team building and spreading love across the school and community. Our favorite activity was rock painting. We got some fantastic paint pens which made it possible to create beautiful and fun designs. Students were given many ideas, but they had complete freedom to choose something that would make them smile.
We LOVED getting to be creative and turn a simple and boring rock into something incredible. The finished products are fantastic, but the best part is yet to come! In order to spread joy and smiles throughout the community, we have reached out to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Department. We are planning a day to walk to the Fire Station in order create a painted rock garden for the firefighters and community members to enjoy. We can't wait to bring our treasures out into the community to add a bit of color and happiness in an unexpected way!
