We have been busy climbing the past week and half here at Goodrich! This amazing piece of equipment provides so many different opportunities for our students here at Goodrich - the best part is that they are literally overcoming fears, obstacles, self-doubt and so much more right in front of me and their peers.
There are so many ways to modify climbing and we are able to meet the needs of every single student.
The ones who are confident climbers have a series of "Color Climbs" to complete, but I will also be adding hula hoops and bars to the wall for them to climb over, under and through!
The more nervous climbers are also reaching goals and making strides. They may start the first day with me having a hand on their back as a support and only climbing two panels, but each day they get a little farther and pretty soon they say, "Mrs. Weber, you don't have to stand by me. I'm good!"
In this situation, me not being needed is the BEST feeling! I am so proud of all these Gator Climbers and can't wait to see them complete more challenges!!
