Caught Being Good

This year has been hard on everyone. The winter months always put a damper on our moods, and this year post-pandemic lifestyle has not been easy for any of us. Students, and teachers, included. This week, we decided we needed a lighter mood in 2nd grade. Mrs. Wojtowicz planned with us, and we figured out ways to make learning extra fun this week.

We did a few surprise rewards this week for students. If students were "caught being good," we stopped what we were doing, and did sometihng positive for all those following our classroom expectations. With such nice weather this week, we were able to go outside a few times.

I think it's important to remember to be kind and patient with not only our students, but with ourselves. We are all adjusting back to "normal" life, and frankly, it is not the same world 2020 pre-pandemic was. Teachers and students are carrying around a lot more trauma than before. After this week however, I am feeling more hopeful than I have in a long time. TGIF! 😁
