What should Miss Berryman dress up as?

 This week, we started our new opinion unit in first grade! 

Throughout the week, students have been making opinions and giving reasons to support those opinions. Being so close to Halloween, I asked the students what they think I should dress up as. The students were expected to give two reasons to support the costume idea that they chose. 

The students shared with a partner different ideas that they had and then had to write a sentence.

The students were provided with a sentence starter.

They were also reminded to use capital letters, spaces, and periods.

The students had lots of fun with this activity and insisted that I dress up as what they picked for me!
