Welcome Back!

Welcome back! What a whirlwind the last year has been... it feels SO good to be back full time with all of our students. I can't wait for this year! 

Today was the first full day of school, and we had so much to do. We are getting to know each other, learn school expectations, but most importantly, having fun. This year the district's focus is collaboration, and I plan on making that our classroom theme as well. To start off the year, we did a fun game to learn to work together. We had a Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament! This is a game I've played each year with my class at the beginning of the year, and each year it's a favorite. It's not just any old game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, though! To play, we create a curvy path of poly spots to jump on. Players from opposite teams hop on the spots until they meet in the middle and play rock, paper, scissors, and then the winner continues hopping on. Your team wins if you hop the whole path and onto the opposing team's side!

The best part of this game? Hearing students cheer on their new classmates as they play. I am so excited for the rest of this year!
