When I reflect back on this past week, I think about all that I have to be thankful for. Atop that list of family and friends are the students and parents of Goodrich School. I was reminded of that at parent/teacher conferences. It is always a pleasure talking to parents about the successes and accomplishments of their children. The amount of involvement and support from parents certainly does not go unnoticed. We are so fortunate to all be part of the Goodrich community.
The students also had an opportunity to reflect on what they are most thankful for. We used the structure Jot Thoughts to brainstorm all of the things that the students are thankful for. The ideas were flowing so fast...we clearly have very grateful students! Once each team had an opportunity to brainstorm, they worked together to categorize the ideas they came up with. The students were so creative with how they chose to organize their ideas. They came up with unique categories like nature and luxury. Watching our students so eager to participate in this activity was truly humbling. Our students are developing traits that will lead them to success even beyond the classroom.
'Tis the season to be thankful and count our blessings, Goodrich Family!
