Peter and the Wolf in Music
We are taking about Peter and The Wolf in second grade music
because we are learning about the instrument families.
The characters are played by different instruments in the
orchestra.
The instruments are the violin, the flute, the oboe, the
clarinet, the bassoon, the french horn, and the timpani or kettle drums.
We have learned about the family that each instrument is in.
The families are strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
I liked it because it has music to tell the story and is not
just a regular book.
