Today, we were working on handwriting during our Superkids reading time. The program has a very motivational way of teaching handwriting. There are ice cream scoops (Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate) next to the lines to represent the top, middle, and bottom lines. 
The students were working on the capital letter C. We discussed how the capital letter C likes all flavors of ice cream, so when writing the letter they need their pencil to touch (lick) each line. YUMMY! They were very engaged when trying to make sure C got a taste of each flavor!
After handwriting, we were so excited we had to do a cheer! That's the way, (uh huh, uh huh) I like it (uh, huh, uh, huh)!
