Play is essential to the development of young minds. Through play, children practice problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills that are critical for success both in school and in life. Whether they are building with blocks, engaging in imaginative role-playing, or working together on crafts, children are developing cognitive and social skills in a meaningful way.
One of our favorite parts of the day in kindergarten is play! This year the top two picks during play are always building and crafting. We love magnetic tiles, Lego, marble runs, and car tracks for building. We also love to make cards, books, lists, animals, backpacks and jewelry out of paper.
