With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, kindergarten began brainstorming what it means to be thankful. We discussed how we can be thankful for people, items, or experiences. When we met with our 6th grade buddies on Tuesday, it was the perfect time to make a turkey craft with a little bit of help. Our buddies helped to write what we are thankful for on each feather of our turkey. A common theme was how much we are thankful for our family, friends and teachers. We also had some creative ideas like our style, a banana and love. After we finished each feather, it was time to color and cut out the turkey craft. Our buddies needed to leave for the afternoon, so we needed to finish cutting and assemble the turkeys all on our own. We were so proud of the final product!
