Halloween Learning!

With Monday being the day before Halloween and excited students filled in the classroom, we made our learning into some Halloween fun! Students read the book Room on the Broom and watched an animated short clip from the story. Afterwards, students practiced their reading comprehension skills by doing fan and pick with their tables. Fan and pick worked perfectly for this, because each card had a different comprehension question for students to answer!

Afterwards, students worked with a partner on their critical thinking skills in a Halloween breakout room. This Halloween breakout room has five different locks that students need to get through. One of them had a mystery clue where they needed to match color to the time shown on an analog clock, another had them practicing their cardinal directions, and more fun questions! It was a great activity to get us excited about Halloween, but still were ready to learn for the day!
