Laundry Time for Pre-K!

Ms. Kilkenny's class is studying clothes.  This week we focused on how
to take care of clothes and what happens when your clothes get dirty. 
Is there a laundry fairy? No! It is time to do some laundry!

First we learned about laundry and we wondered what kind of soap is the best?
We did a scientific experiment to see which soap made the most bubbles:
liquid, powder or bar soap.

We are whisking up some bubbles.

Which one made more bubbles?

We then recorded our answers:

Now that we know which soap made the most bubbles,

it is time to do some laundry!  

First we scrubbed them on a washboard, then we rinsed the
soap out and then we wrung out the water.

We had lots of dirty mittens to clean.

Now we are hanging our clean mittens to dry. 

We learned that it is hard work to do laundry, and that we should
try to keep our clothes clean.
