Success at Singfest

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of taking three very talented Goodrich singers to an event hosted by the Glen Ellyn Children's Chorus, Anima! They worked very hard and produced an incredible concert for all to hear in the afternoon. Events like these lead to a tremendous amount of student success and gratification.

These three students prepared four pieces of music on their own and then met with the incredible composer, Tim Takach, and the new Anima director, Dr. Charles Sundquist to bring it all together. During the morning and afternoon sessions they sang with 150 singers of varying age groups from 10-17 and were able to make beautiful music together. You could really tell that all of the students that attended loved to sing and it brought them so much happiness to do so in such a large group.

These events help these children, not only grow as musicians, but also as a community of people. They are able to meet people from all over the county and northwestern suburbs of Chicago. This was my 7th year taking students to this event and I plan to do so for the foreseeable future. Here are some photos from the event...
