We are ready to end the year with a bang! As we prepare to wrap up the school year, we wanted to be sure that each 6th grader is given a day of celebration and recognition.
Each day a balloon is popped on our bulletin board, and the name inside the balloon becomes the student recognized for that day. Their special day includes sitting in a comfy chair, receiving compliments from their classmates on the whiteboard, assisting in leading class activities, and lunch with the sixth grade teachers at the end of the week. We love the chance for students to see how they impacted their classmates and the lunch is a great time to strengthen relationships formed throughout the year.
Although a bittersweet time, the students are excited to conquer this new journey together as they move on to the junior high. We are sure going to miss this group of kids, but we know they are going to do a wonderful job and make us proud as they begin their next chapter.
