Culture Club

Culture Club officially started! Our focus this month is all about Mexican culture! The kids are having so much fun listening to music, learning different dances, and traditions! We played games to learn a little more about the culture. We even brought in food, candy and snacks to try from. 

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a big deal in Mexican culture. It is celebrated mostly in Mexico on November 1 and 2. They honor their dead ancestors and it is actually a joyful time that helps people remember their loved ones and carry on their memory. We had fun following a tutorial to draw sugar skull designs and then actually decorated cookies!

I am excited to continue to teach them about all the different cultures and even have them share their own! The kids are super engaged and love asking questions to learn new ideas every day!
