This is the first year I did a bowling unit Kindergarten-6th grade. We have worked on rolling skills throughout every school year since I have been a teacher at Goodrich, and last year I did a bowling unit with Kindergarten-3rd grade. But this is the first year I am doing it with everyone!
AND WE ARE LOVING IT!
I found some great bowling activities from a fellow PE teacher and they have worked perfectly with my students. We have incorporated a "TEAM" aspect to our bowling games, where the groups of kids have to work together to collect the most cube, earn the most money or to get a BINGO.
I even turned the gym into a Cosmic Bowling Alley for the end of the week with Christmas Lights, LED rope lights and Black lights.
I have loved every second of the bowling unit this week and I know the kids have too!
