This past weekend, we had quite an exciting event for the students in 5th and 6th grade chorus. We had the opportunity to perform a "Grease Medley" as the pre-game entertainment for the Chicago Wolves hockey game at the Allstate Arena. The kids did a fabulous job and were so excited to be able to sing to a packed crowd!
There were a total of 15 schools singing but Goodrich's fans took up an ENTIRE section of the stadium. We were dressed in our new, awesome t-shirts, designed by a student, and looked and sounded amazing. Many of the children had not been to a live sporting event before, let alone sang at one, so it was a very exciting day. They had many nerves leading up to our performance but were able to pull together their bravery and put on a great show. The more practice they get at performing in front of an audience the more confidence they will build. I am very much looking forward to their spring concert and to see how far they have come since the beginning of the year.
Below I have just a couple pictures of the day and just how great of a crowd we had in attendance. It looks like the Wolves gained a bunch of new fans!
