Innovative Interview

 

Sixth graders are collaborating with seventh graders at Jefferson to talk about what they look forward to next year. They created a Flip interview video where they answered a set of questions on what kind of classes, activities, sports, etc. they wish to join. Student's even talked about some of their own strengths and hobbies that will benefit them when going to Jefferson next year.  

Students were also given the opportunity to ask their own questions on anything they are curious about knowing. Some of them even dug deep and opened up about some of their fears/concerns with having different teachers, class periods and being at a bigger school. The students are overall excited about hearing back from the seventh graders. I think this is very beneficial because they can communicate with kids who have been in a similar position last year to alleviate some of the anxiety they may have with transitioning into a new school.
