WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

Teachers and students of all ages often have butterflies in their tummies as the first day of school approaches. From the sales in Target and Walmart beginning in the middle of summer to the awaited reveal of class lists, this is truly an exciting time for all.

Woodridge School District is dedicated to building and fostering relationships between teacher and students, as well as between classmates. The first week of school is set aside to help build relationships and getting to know each other. Today we spent the day doing a variety of activities such as FIRST DAY questions, Classroom Scavenger Hunt, and preparing our O.W.L. binders to help us stay organized. How quickly the day flew by!

For the FIRST DAY questions, students went around the room and answered questions related to the first day back to school. They were assigned partners and enjoyed working together to find all the questions.

They also worked with partners of their choice to get to know where different objects were in the classroom during the Classroom Scavenger Hunt. This was a great time to spend some partner time with some old and new friends.

I can say with confidence that nearly every student is excited to come back tomorrow and learn some more about our classmates!
