Un-BEE-lievable

We made history yesterday at Goodrich School!  We held our annual Goodrich School spelling bee for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders.  For the first time since anyone can remember, the bee ended in a tie. It was the most exciting spelling bee that we have been a part of.  All of the contestants were extremely prepared and incredibly supportive of each other. There were hand shakes and congratulations all around.

While the contestants were incredible, so too was the audience. They silently sat in awe of their classmates. It was so fun to see them on the edge of their seats as they heard word after word spelled to perfection. They could barely contain their excitement and support for everyone participating.

After thirty-two rounds and a lengthy list, we ran out of spelling words.  Students conquered words such as ebullience, gendarme, and supererogation. Needless to say, it was an impressive show from our contestants. It was a proud day at Goodrich School. We wish our co-winners the best of luck at the district spelling bee.
