Our district recently added some very exciting technology to
our repertoire! iPADS!!! Each school has 15 new iPads to enhance the
learning in our classrooms. Here in Fifth grade, we were so excited to
get our students’ hands on these!
We have been studying the Revolutionary War in social
studies, and have been learning the research process to use in our
informational writing. Our instructional coach, Mrs. Counihan, suggested that
we use the app, “ChatterPix” to demonstrate the learning that occurred thus
far. This is a student-friendly and engaging app to use. Once we had shown the students this app, they couldn't wait to try it!
Each student was expected to choose one topic of the
Revolutionary War that interested them.
They were required to find new information about this topic and then
present it using, “ChatterPix!” You
would never know this was the first time the students used iPads in the
classroom because their presentations were outstanding.

This is awesome!
