Technology Tools!

Technology plays an essential role in our lives today. As teachers we feel it is important to prepare students with the skills they will need to integrate digital tools into their daily lives. This not only is engaging for students but it teaches them skills that will be beneficial in their future as well. Below are a few programs that we have started using more in 6th grade. 

Flip is a video discussion and sharing app that allows students to talk about their learning and discuss with others. The program has features that allows students to edit their video to express their thinking about a topic.

 students have been learning how to use Canva, a graphic design tool, to create presentations and to share learning. 

Tinkercad allows students to use their learning and creativity to design 3D models

 

We have also been utilizing programs such as Brainingcamp in math with digital manipulatives and Kami throughout our entire day which allows students to annotate, voice record, markup and share documents
