College and Career Fridays!

Today was our school's first College and Career Friday of the year. We will be doing this twice a month. During this time each grade level has age appropriate discussions about different colleges and/or careers.

Today we were lucky enough to welcome Miss Kaddoura's brother into our classrooms. He is a professional video game player, however the beauty of his presentation was his focus on education, teamwork, and discipline. He shared how he balanced his passion of gaming with his school work (never missing a homework assignment and getting straight A's throughout school). He shared about the education he received at UIC in neuroscience, and all the knowledge and habits he built to get to where he is today such as perseverance, time management, and hard work.

We look forward to exploring different colleges and trade schools throughout the year, as well as welcoming more professionals into our classrooms to share about different careers.
