This past month I have been taking the Kami Certified for Educators Internal University course through our school district. Prior to starting this course, I had never used Kami so I was excited to learn something new for myself and then pass the knowledge along to my students. Kami is an online document annotation and markup tool that works with Google Drive and Google Classroom. You can do a variety of things such as highlight, underline, add text boxes, shapes, and images with the touch of a few buttons.
To get my students familiar with all that Kami has to offer, we did a scavenger hunt to explore the site! Since Ms. Picciola is also taking this course, we had some help from her students as they did the scavenger hunt a few days ago. Her expert students were able to help my students find all the correct tools they needed, add pictures, change their pen color, and so much more! Our students were so excited to try something new, be creative, and have some fun with our other 1st grade friends. I can't wait to continue to learn alongside my students and use it for different activities throughout the year!
